After a two-week trip to Uganda in 2014, where serving at an orphanage, it became clear that I was there for another purpose; to help the women of Jinja send ALL their children to school. Listening and learning from the women there was eye opening. After meeting Shallom, a young, servant-hearted Ugandan, we began a slow moving  partnership to sponsor a handful of children’s education through friends and family in the United States.

Over the next two years, we began the process of becoming an official PVO (private volunteer organization) with the Ugandan government. My husband, two daughters and I traveled back to Uganda in 2016 to visit schools, fellowship with the children and finalize documents. It was REALLY happening, and we thank God for His provision.

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.
